In this course, students will have an introduction to Trans Gender and Gender Diverse Vocal Pedagogy. Areas of study will include an introduction to current terminology, creating an inclusive private voice studio, developing an appropriate and diverse library of repertoire, fill in gaps in knowledge of the functional voice through a gender-affirming lens, and focus particularly on the effects of exogenous testosterone on a singing voice through evidence-based pedagogy.
