Overview of Class

In this course, students will apply the principles of philosophical inquiry - clarifying ideas, questioning assumptions, and applying new insights to practice - as we consider historical and contemporary thinking about music, music education, and teaching and learning within an ever evolving set of beliefs and practices. The course will have a face-to-face introductory meeting and the remainder of the course will feature self-directed projects designed in collaboration with the course instructor.
