Course Detail: C_MAINECENTERLEADERSHIP - Maine Center for Leadership and Innovation 2019-2020

Through 15 sessions over three years (5 sessions per year), and applied learning back in the school districts, participants will engage in a research-based approach focusing on designing, collecting, and analyzing short-duration metrics of student learning. Proven to accelerate learning as it improves the quality of teaching and instructional leadership, this approach is the foundation for comprehensive school leadership development.

Participants will build skills important to achieving the educational goals, and desired performance outcomes through the creation of action plans which participants develop and implement back at their home school. Each one-day session is structured with approximately 6 hours devoted to leadership content. Leaders will increase their requisite knowledge and skills necessary to lead and manage new and emerging school improvement programs, growth systems, curriculum, climate, adult collaboration, and trust. Each session will include a Leader Advisory Council held with key consortium participants and leaders focused on immediate content feedback, planning and goal setting to ensure cohesive outcomes for participating districts and schools.
