Both the ACDA Professional Workshop on October 11 and the 11th Annual Northern New England Collegiate Symposium on October 12 are focused on choral techniques and will cover the following topics- choral literature, choral rehearsal, and curriculum. 

Instructor Name: Dr. Nicolás Alberto Dosman, USM and guest instructor, Dr. André Thomas 

Instructor Bio: Dr. Nicolás Alberto Dosman is an Assistant Professor of Music-Choral Conducting and Director of Choral Studies at the University of Southern Maine (USM), School of Music. 

Dr. André Thomas is an American composer and conductor. He recently retired as a professor of music at Florida State University and was the artistic director for the Tallahassee Community Chorus. In addition to his conducting and composition credits, Thomas is a published author, having written "Way Over in Beulah Lan': Understanding and Performing the Negro Spiritual", and numerous journal articles.
