T&L 2900: ND ESPB New Mentor Training

This course will prepare experienced teachers to serve as mentors for first year teachers as part of the ND Teacher Support System Mentoring Program.

New Mentor teachers who are part of the NDTSS mentoring program will engage in asynchronous and synchronous work to help prepare them for the role of being a mentor teacher to a new teacher.  The online work consists of reflection activities, discussions, and assignments.  During live webinars, mentor teachers will meet with trained facilitators to discuss mentoring requirements, strategies, best practices, and questions regarding mentoring and the NDTSS mentoring program.  The in-person new mentor training will consist of a two-day workshop focused on new mentors as they prepare to support new teachers.
