T&L 2900: Building Wellness That Lasts
Building Wellness That Lasts is a hands-on professional learning course that helps educators turn wellness strategies into everyday habits. Participants will create personal goals in five wellness areas: physical activity, nutrition, hydration, sleep and recovery, and stress and work-life balance. Throughout the course, educators will put their goals into action, track their progress, reflect on successes and challenges, and make adjustments along the way. The course also encourages educators to recognize how their own wellness can positively impact their energy, stress, relationships with students, and overall effectiveness in the classroom.
Participants will apply their new learning by actively working toward personal goals in the five wellness areas and using wellness strategies in their daily lives. Over the 10-week course, participants will meet two times to discuss progress, share successes and challenges, and learn from one another. They will also track their progress and make adjustments to build healthy habits that can continue beyond the course.
