T&L 2900: 2025-2026 Mentoring
This mentoring course is designed to support new educators in McKenzie County Public School District #1 as they transition into their roles within the district. Grounded in the principles of collaboration, trust, and professional development, the program pairs experienced educators with new staff to foster growth, confidence, and instructional excellence.
Throughout the school year, mentors and mentees will engage in monthly meetings, guided conversations, classroom observations, and structured activities aligned with district expectations. The course emphasizes orientation to building procedures, curriculum support, classroom management, and reflective practice. Mentors serve as consultants, sponsors, and confidants, helping mentees navigate both instructional and cultural aspects of their school environment.
