T&L 2900: Action Research at DLBHS

Purpose of the learning event: This course is designed to provide an opportunity for teachers to focus on one aspect of their teaching practice through action research. They will develop a plan of action, based on research, collect data to determine student impact, and report on their findings at the end of their research. Two options are provided for this research:  Short term (1 credit option) or In depth (2 credit option). This course will be blended and asynchronous. Teachers will develop their own plan and timeline, and will document and discuss progress with instructor, colleagues, and administrator. Face-to-face meetings will take place during designated PD days as well as during smaller meetings set up as needed. On-line work will take place in a Google Classroom where teachers will document their work and share their progress in online discussion forums.
