T&L 2900: 180 Days of Physical Wellness for Busy Educators (Book Study)
This professional learning course is designed to support educators in developing healthy, sustainable wellness practices that positively impact both their personal lives and professional teaching practices. Using 180 Days of Physical Wellness for Busy Educators by Tina H. Boogren as the foundation, participants will explore practical strategies for improving physical wellness, managing stress, building healthy routines, and maintaining balance throughout the school year.
Throughout the course, educators will reflect on how personal wellness directly influences classroom climate, student relationships, energy levels, and overall teaching effectiveness. Participants will engage in collaborative discussions, personal reflections, wellness activities, and goal-setting opportunities designed to encourage long-term self-care habits and professional growth.
The course emphasizes the importance of educators taking care of themselves in order to better support their students, colleagues, and school communities. By the end of the course, participants will develop personalized wellness strategies that can be realistically implemented during the school year while also strengthening their effectiveness as educators.
