LANG 2900: LETRS for Early Childhood Educators

PreK instructors will participate in the LETRS for Early Childhood Educators.  

The LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training for Early Childhood Educators is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and skills to enhance early literacy instruction. This in-person training spans a total of 15 hours, divided into five 3-hour sessions which will begin in November of 2024 and End by April 15th, 2025. Each session will focus on foundational concepts in literacy development, effective teaching strategies, and practical applications tailored to early childhood education. Participants will engage in interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning experiences, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of how to support young learners in their reading and spelling journey. To earn continuing education credits candidates must attend all in-person sessions and complete the accompanying online modules.

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
