T&L 2900: WFHS Teaching on the Block Part 1

The mission of this blended course is to prepare teachers for the transition from teaching in skinny
periods to an A/B block. The framework for this course is Brain Compatible Learning as defined by R .Bruce Williams and Steven E. Dunn. Each session will focus on a different identifier of Brain Compatible Learning and how it applies to teaching on a block schedule. Topics to be covered in this course include: personalizing learning, classroom management, retention, lesson design, reflection strategies and more. All participants should walk away with tools and strategies to effectively teach a 90 minute block.

Cancellation Policy

If UND receives the Course Withdrawal Form 7 or more calendar days before the learning event start date, the fee paid to UND Professional Development for Educators minus a $35 processing fee will be refunded. If the fee paid to UND is less than $100 the processing fee will be waived. NO REFUNDS are available if a withdrawal notification is received 6 or less calendar days before the learning event start date.
