Welcome to the Managing Heat Stress Programs course. This self-paced course will introduce you to the issue of heat stress in the workplace. This course will discuss: How heat stress affects the individual and organization, Identifying and evaluating the thermal characteristics of the work environment, Types and treatment of heat stress injuries, Assessing the work environment for heat stress and Controlling heat in the work environment. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of the identification and control of heat stress problems in the workplace by successfully completing lesson quizzes and example exercises. This course will prepare you for future course work required to complete the University of Alabama's Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Program.
