This one-day course will provide annual update training for Asbestos Abatement Supervisors as required by AHERA. This courses will address recent changes in regulations and abatement techniques. Topics will include a recap of all initial information, in addition to any new liability issues, federal and state regulations, contract specifications, or other pertinent asbestos-related matters.This course is accredited/approved by the State of Alabama and incorporates the EPA Model Curriculum materials.

Instructor:	Judith Pike Judith Pike Judith Pike Senior Project Engineer Biography: Judith A. Pike is the Senior Project Engineer for Highland Technical Services, Inc. in Hoover, Alabama and is Adjunct Faculty at the University of Alabama in Continuing Studies Environmental & IndustrialPrograms. Judith's specialty areas include asbestos, lead based paint and microbial investigations, project management and abatement design, groundwater investigation, hazardous waste management, RCRA investigations, remedial systems design and implementation. She has experience in conducting Phase I, II & III Environmental Site Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, erosion control and above ground/underground storage tank management. Previous employment was with such companies as TUV RheinlandIndustrial Solutions, Inc. - Unified Testing Services, The Environmental League, LLC, W. W. Williams Environmental, Bhate Environmental, Inc. and K. B. Weygand & Associates. Judith received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
