Alabama Lead-based Paint Accreditation Program The Alabama Department of Public Health requires all individuals who engage in lead-based paint inspection, risk assessment, abatement and renovation activities to be accredited by Safe State Environmental Programs. In addition, training programs who want to offer training courses for lead-based paint disciplines must alsobe accredited by Safe State Environmental Programs. This section is primarily for individuals and trainers associatedwith the identification and abatement of Lead-based Paint. As of November 16, 2010 there are new regulations related tolead-based paint encountered during renovation, repair and painting work. These regulations have added Renovators as a new discipline.
