Course Detail: TEDTALK - Ted Talk Discussion

Join us to view an amazing TED Talk with Instructor Cal Mott! Afterward he'll lead an engaging conversation to explore what can be learned and share insights with fellow OLLI members.

In March we'll view How Language Shapes the Way We Think by cognitive scientist Lera Boroditsky, who examines how the languages we speak influence the way we perceive and understand the world. After viewing the talk, we'll discuss itsideas, share insights, and consider the power of language and how it shapes thought in everyday life.

In April we'll view Time for Infectious Generosity by Chris Anderson. In this talk, Anderson explores how acts ofgenerosity can create meaningful impact and inspire others to give in turn. Afterwatching the presentation, we'll discuss its ideas, share reflections, and explorehow generosity can influence our personal and community lives. 

Both sessions offer a chance to learn, reflect and engage in meaningful conversation withfellow OLLI members.
