After the release of the movie "Sideways" in 2006, Merlot sales took a nose-dive, and the grape's US reputation was largely reduced to just cheap, easy-drinking, uninteresting red wine for non-serious wine drinkers. But this grape is gaining back its street cred. We're going to taste different examples of Merlot from around the world to rediscover its luscious power and elegance.
