Course Detail: CPR-2025WI-REG - American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers course is a hands-on classroom course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in healthcare and professional rescuer environments. The course will be held in BA 110 in Bachand Hall. Participants learn high-quality CPR, AHA chain of survival, recognition of cardiac arrest, active use of an AED, rescue breathing, relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction), and team communication. The course accommodates both new students and those seeking recertification. This interactive course uses skills practice, scenarios, and testing to ensure competency. The course fee is $80, which can be paid online during registration. Upon successful completion, participants receive an electronic course completion card (eCard) valid for 2 years.The course is required for healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, EMS personnel, and other healthcare providers who must have a completion card documenting successful completion of a CPR course.
