CAC0222 - Chiropractic Acupuncture Certificate #2 of 4: Tongue Diagnosis, Antique Points, Acupuncture Theory 2&3, Meridian 2&3, Eight Extraordinary Meridians, Auriculotherapy and Instrumentation.

This session two of the four required sessions. You will learn Tongue Diagnosis, Antique Points, Acupuncture Theory 2&3, Meridian 2&3, Eight Extraordinary Meridians, Auriculotherapy and Instrumentation. Here is an overview of the session content.  Please note these times may vary.

Friday(4 X 50 minutes = 200 minutes (4 CE Hours)

·        4:00-4:30PM:  Quiz administration from previouscourse material administration and review of answers (30 mins) >75%pass rate = 3 extra points on the written final

·        4:30-5:40:  Western Medical Acupuncture: The Neurologicand Physiologic rationale of using acupuncture points. (70 minutes = 2 CE Hours)

·        5:40 -6:20 PM - Break

·        6:20-8:00PM: Continue Western Medical Acupuncture: TheNeurologic and Physiologic rationale of using acupuncture points, and itseffect on pain.  Explanation of clinicalrationale for utilizing EA when performing acupuncture. (100 minutes = 2 CEHours)

Saturday (12 X 50 minutes = 600 minutes (12 CE Hours)

·        8:00-9:40AM: Theory and usage of the EightExtraordinary Meridians and use of the master couple points (100 minutes = 2 CEHours)

·        9:40 -10:00 AM - Break

·        10:00AM -11:40 AM:  Antique points location,characteristics and usage discussed with their pathways, guest host technique,command points, Back Shu, Front Mu, Luo connecting points and Ghost points (100minutes = 2 CE Hours)

·        11:40AM -12:40 PM:  Lunch

·        12:40-2:20PM:  Twelve main meridians are described withemphasis on BL KD, PC, TW, GB, LV and extra points (100 minutes = 2 CE Hours)

·        2:20 -2:40 PM:  Break

·        2:40-6:00PM:  Discussion of meridian pathways (superficialand deep), location of their acu-points and clinical applications. (200 minutes= 4 CE Hours)

·        6:00-6:20PM:  Break

·        6:20-8:00PM:  Extensive supervised laboratory practicum,which will provide attendees with hands-on time to practice point location andproper needle insertion techniques. (100 minutes = 2 CE Hours)

 

Sunday (9 x 50 minutes = 450 minutes (9 CE Hours)

·        8:00-9:40AM:Theory and uses of point categories in relationship to their usage inmusculoskeletal conditions.  Discussionof Bi and Wei syndromes. (100 minutes = 2 CE Hours)

·        9:40 - 10:00AM:  Break

·        10:00-11:40AM:  Twelve main meridians are described withemphasis on Extra Points (100 mins=2 CE Hours)

·        11:40AM-12:40PM:  Lunch

·        12:40-3:10PM:  A systematic approach to the conditionsrelating to the following regions: spinal, extra-spinal, Upper extremity(emphasis on neck, shoulder, elbow and wrist); Lower extremity (emphasis on lowback, hip, knee & ankle) (150 minutes = 3 CE Hours)

·        3:10-4:00PM:Break

·        4:00 -5:40PM: Continue A systematic approach to the conditions relating to thefollowing regions: spinal, extra-spinal, Upper extremity (emphasis on neck,shoulder, elbow and wrist); Lower extremity (emphasis on low back, hip, knee& ankle) (100 minutes = 2 CE Hours)
