CAS01-P - Passive Physiotherapies Practical Skills Requirement
Under the direct supervision of a doctor of chiropractic licensed in the State of Iowa, the chiropractic assistant must be taught how to use, and demonstrate competency in the operation of various pieces of physiotherapy equipment used in the chiropractic practice. You will receive a form with the course to document competency.
This equipment, may include, but is not limited to hot packs, cold packs, ultrasound, diathermy, electrotherapies, etc. The total amount of time for training and demonstrating competency on all equipment shall be no less than six (6) hours. Return the completed and notarized form to our office to receive credit.
Please keep a training log available in your office showing date, time, procedures and equipment used for training. You are NOT required to submit the log with the form.
