Course Detail: Lunder-Dineen Maine Nurse Preceptor Education Program

The Peter L. Slavin, MD Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care (Slavin Academy), together with the Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine (Lunder-Dineen), MGH Nursing and Patient Care Services and the Institute for Health Professions (IHP) are proud to offer the asynchronous portion of the well-established Maine Nursing Preceptor Education Program to all MGH nurses.
Format
This program is 100% online and includes 7 asynchronous online modules. Participants must complete all 7 modules. Check back at Lunder-Dineen's website for full program details: Lunder-Dineen - Health Education Alliance of Maine | Fall 2024 Program (lunderdineen.org).
Cost of Program
This program is provided free of charge for nurse participants from Maine and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) through funding from the Lunder Foundation and MGH.
Qualifications & Criteria for Participation
To ensure the goals of this statewide program are met and to be able to extend the benefit of participating in the program to as many qualified RNs, clinical nurse educators, nurse managers, and nursing faculty as possible, the "Qualifications and Criteria for Program Participation" have been developed.
Please review the qualifications and criteria on the program website to ensure the program meets your needs and expectations. Save a copy for your records.
How to Register
- Click Add to Cart.
- Once in the cart, click Sign in or Create Profile to create an account.
- When you are logged in and return to the cart, you must select your name under the Add Attendee to Session dropdown before you can check out (see screenshot below).
- Click Checkout and answer a few program questions before finalizing your registration.
- You will receive 3 automated emails upon successful registration within 24 hours: an order confirmation with course reminders, an email to set up your D2L Brightspace password to access the modules, and a receipt."
Note: If registering multiple people at once, simply click Add Attendees to list in the cart to create a profile for each additional person.
How to Access Your Course
When registering on this site for the first time, you will create an account with your email address, which will automatically serve as your username for your D2L Brightspace account, a separate learning platform where this course is located. Once registered into this offering, you will receive an email to set up your password on D2L Brightspace. Log on and find your course on the homepage.
If you already have an Enrole and D2L Brightspace account, you can log in with your email address here: https://mghinstitutecpd.brightspace.com. Click Forgot Password to reset if needed.
