Course Detail: Lunder-Dineen Maine Nurse Preceptor Education Program

Registration is now open.

The Peter L. Slavin, MD Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care (Slavin Academy) together as co-sponsor with the Institute for Health Professions (IHP) School of Nursing and partners from the Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine and the Norman Knight Nursing Center for Clinical and Professional Development are proud to announce the 12th annual launch of the Maine Nursing Preceptor Education Program.

The Maine Nursing Preceptor Education Program (MNPEP) is a nationally recognized professional development program designed to strengthen precepting and clinical teaching skills across healthcare settings. The program brings together clinicians and educators from a wide range of practice environments to build confidence, consistency, and effectiveness in the preceptor role. Participants complete a series of self-paced online modules followed by a full-day, in-person workshop focused on applied learning, reflection, and skill-building with peers.

This program is referred to as the Maine Nursing Preceptor Education Program because it was envisioned and originally designed and developed by and for nurses in Maine. We are proud to share that its reach has now spread beyond Maine. Participants from across the United States are welcome to attend.
