Registered Behavioral Health Technician
A Registered Behavioral Health Technician (RBT) is a professional who provides direct therapy to clients with autism or other developmental disabilities.They work one-on-one with patients to help them learn new skills like communication and social interaction. They do this under the close guidance of their supervisor. An RBT is supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who creates lesson and treatment plans. An RBT puts the plans into action and provides support for the client. RBT's can work in client homes, therapy clinics, and public and private schools.
