Spending too much time on your screens and not enough talking to real people? Then join us in our remake of a past ALL program, Today's Topic, now called Conversations.Programs will include nonpartisan conversations about local or regional topics of interest, each with an expert moderator/facilitator who will encourage audience participation. While differences of opinions are likely and encouraged so too will be civil, respectful behavior and comportment.Each 60-90-minute program will be held on-campus or at public or private spaces to accommodate speakers and/or enhance the subject matter.

Information

Conversations' first topic will be "A Better Downtown Springfield." Downtown in our city is a mix of government, commerce (both retail and service businesses), and some unique and special sites of historical or other significance. Let's discuss downtown's future and some ideas for it with Jay Schanle, the new director of Downtown Springfield Inc. ?Where: 427 E. Washington St. (the office of attorney Joe McMenamin and Books on the Square).
