Course: Introduction to Accounting Analytics

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to: 
  • Understand and employ the IMPACT model to address accounting questions using data analytics. 
  • Prepare/clean data for analysis using the ETL (extract, transform, and load) process. 
  • Identify the four different types of data analytics and analyze accounting questions using descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. 
  • Develop visualizations using Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and XBRL to efficiently and effectively communicate insights from accounting analytics to stakeholders.
Introduction to Accounting Analytics for Business microcredential introduces you to content through modules.  Content requires approximately 20 to 25 hours to complete.  Learning assessment will be conducted through learning activities.  To successfully complete the microcredential and earn a digital badge, you must achieve a minimum passing score of 75%.
