Course: Kansas SNAP-Ed: Families Eating Smart and Moving More

This self-paced, online learning opportunity, developed with USDA funding in collaboration with North Carolina's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), provides practical strategies to help participants eat smart, move more, and lead healthier lives. 

The course equips learners with essential skills to: 
Prepare more meals at home using simple, nutritious ingredients
Make healthier choices when grocery shopping or dining out
Incorporate physical activity into their daily routines for improved well-being 

Each lesson fosters positive lifestyle changes by covering key topics such as balanced nutrition, increased physical activity, food budgeting, and food safety practices that benefit both individuals and families.

This course is designed for individuals who qualify for programs such as SNAP, KanCare, FDPIR, Free and Reduced Lunch, Head Start, WIC, TANF, and TEFAP but is open to anyone interested in improving their health and wellness.
