Course: Watershed Game Facilitator Training - Local Leader
Join us for a hands-on training designed to equip local leaders with the skills to facilitate the Watershed Game - Local Leader Version. This interactive simulation helps participants explore the connections between land use, water quality, and flood resilience while balancing financial and policy considerations. Through engaging, team-based gameplay, attendees will learn how to use the game to foster discussions on water management challenges and solutions within their communities.
Participants will gain confidence in leading the Watershed Game with elected officials, watershed organizations, and community groups. The training covers game facilitation, best practices for engaging diverse audiences, and strategies to address regional water issues. Attendees will receive a complimentary game board and access to additional resources through the Kansas Water Institute.
Continuing education hours are not awarded for academic credit. Continuing education requirements vary from state to state and by profession. It is the responsibility of individuals earning K-State continuing education hours to verify with their licensing or accrediting body that the hours will be accepted. Kansas State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
