Course: AFIA 500C: Pelleting Process

This session examines the benefits of pelleting, purpose of conditioning, principles of conditioning as well as pellet mills and pellet die specifications.  The session covers the general function of pellet coolers, as well as the types of pellet coolers plus the factors involved in the efficiency of pellet coolers.  The Post Pellet Liquid Application (PPLA) segment covers the function of the batching & mixing process including batching system design, types of mixers and factors effecting mixer performance, testing mixers and the importance of feed uniformity on animal performance.

Activities within the course are self-paced however all activities and requirements must be completed within 30 days from registration.
