Course Detail: BAS1 - Basic Skills 1 | age 6+

Basic Skills is a progressive 6 level program that teaches the foundation for figure skating, hockey, and speedskating. Basic 1 is the first of two introductory levels for new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning to skate. Basic 1 teaches how to sit and stand on ice, marching, gliding, dipping, wiggles and swizzles, and beginning snowplow stop. Helmets are required for Basic 1 and 2 classes. Skaters should wear warm pants, jacket and gloves.
