Course Detail: STW1 - Engineering for Kids JR STEM Club Winter Session 1 | grades K-3
Engineering is all around us! Your student will experience four different areas of engineering. In Class #1, students explore how kinetic energy is transferred to potential energy using a rubber band and straw. Class #2 examines civil engineering by having students build a strong beam bridge and exploring its attributes and supports. Class #3 dives into chemical engineering as students learn about acids and bases by investigating chemical reactions of pennies. The final class explores aerospace engineering by examining the effects of added weight to a straw loop airplane.
Parents/Guardians, please send permission to school informing staff that your student will be staying after. Students will check in with EdVenture Club after school and be picked up from EdVenture Club after the class.
