Course Detail: MDCA-2031 - Advanced Medical Assistant Skills

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - Second SemesterThis course focuses on the theory and application of administration and clinical skills. Successful completers should be able to demonstrate concepts related to professional conduct, ethical behavior, and patient confidentiality; distinguish when patient questions and requests should be referred to office manager, nurse, or doctor; demonstrate filing and updating records; maintain clinical and examination areas.Students must enroll concurrently in MDCA 2031, HPRS 2000, and MDCA 1060.Healthcare medical record documentation is required. This course includes: books, study guide, practice test, practicum and one attempt at the CCMA Exam, which will be scheduled by the instructor and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Students must purchase scrubs. Clinical times may be scheduled on weekends and weekdays.

Students must purchase scrubs and a patch. This program is eligible for TPEG and a payment plan.
