Students are introduced to medical office operations, equipment, procedures, and human relations skills. Students who successfully complete this course should be able to describe HIPAA regulations, ethical behavior, and professionalism; and demonstrate administrative skills in an ambulatory facility.This course includes: books, study guide, practice test, practicum and one attempt at the CCMA Exam, which will be scheduled by the instructor and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Students must purchase scrubs. Clinical times may be scheduled on weekends and weekdays.
