Course Detail: AUMT-1012 - Basic Automotive Service

Auto mechanic;

Students learn basic automotive service. Includes compliance with safety and hazardous material handling procedures and maintenance of shop equipment.

This course covers how to comply with safety and hazardous material handling procedures; perform basic automotive service procedures; and maintain shop equipment.

This course, paired with AUMT 1041 represents the first semester in our Light Duty Automotive Technician certification program.

A Level 1 Certificate will be awarded with successful completion of our two semester program. Fall/Spring

A class set of textbooks is included. This program is eligible for TPEG funds and a payment plan.
