This fully online course provides teachers with effective techniques for engaging English language learners, also called multilingual learners, in rigorous mathematics learning. Participants will explore the ways that language proficiency and cultural background can shape mathematics learning and achievement. The course provides strategies for supporting language development and cultural awareness as well as methods to foster a learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.
