ELA-906: Emergent Literacy

Emergent Literacy is a review of the research, related activities, and learning strategies for building literacy in the young learner. Emergent Literacy is a multifaceted process. The ability to associate print with meaning begins early in a child's life and continues until the child reaches the stage of conventional reading and writing.
