Biography: April H. Reed is an Associate Professor in the College of Business, Management Information Systems (MIS) department.Dr. Reed conducts research in the area of Information Systems/Information Technology Project Management. She has been a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1999. She worked in the Information Systems industry for 20+ years and has held industry positions as a Programmer, Systems Analyst and an IS/IT Project Manager in several different types of financial institutions.Dr. Reed has published several papers on the topic of risk and virtual software development projects in IS journals and conferences. She holds a PhD in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Systems from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She also has a Master degree in MIS from DePaul University and a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Roosevelt University.
