Course Description: An International Baking Adventure: Holiday Baking Around the World Youth Camp

Travel the world one delicious bake at a time! In this festive holiday baking camp, we'll explore seasonal baking traditions from different countries while creating an assortment of international treats. From the classic French B che de No�l, or Yule log cake, to delicate Linzer cookies filled with sweet jam, we'll mix, bake, assemble and decorate our way through a collection of holiday favorites. Come ready to discover new flavors, learn baking techniques and celebrate the season with delicious creations inspired by holiday traditions around the world!

All COCC baking and culinary Youth Camps utilize real kitchen equipment and focus on hands-on learning while working both independently and collaboratively in small groups. Students are expected to be able to manage their own ingredients, equipment and workspace, and take responsibility for kitchen safety and cleanliness. The kitchen is not gluten or peanut-free. Please indicate known allergies in the checkout process when prompted. Ages 10-15.

Additional Course Information

Please make sure your child(ren) are fed before camp begins. They are welcome to bring snacks from home. Students should bring 1-2 leftover containers each day to share what they prepared with your family and friends. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.

Please Note: We recognize that many individuals have specific dietary restrictions, aversions and/or requests. Due to the nature of our culinary classes, the menu is set and we are limited in our ability to make adjustments, and outside food cannot be brought in to meet special requirements. The kitchen is not gluten or peanut-free. Youth camps are for ages 10-15. Those younger than 10 or older than 15 are not permitted to participate.

Alyssa Dalgleish

Biography: Alyssa Dalgleish has over 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry, working in fine dining, wineries, caf�s, scratch kitchens and nightlife in both front- and back-of-house roles. For the past five years, she has taught advanced culinary courses at Bend Senior High School, guiding students in grades 9-12. Alyssa is passionate about sharing her industry knowledge and inspiring learners of all ages to build skills, confidence and creativity in the kitchen.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
