DESCRIPTION:Event Description:\n\nAn International Baking Adventure: Holiday Baking Around the World Youth Camp\n\n<div>Travel the world one delicious bake at a time! In this festive holiday baking camp, we'll explore seasonal baking traditions from different countries while creating an assortment of international treats. From the classic French B che de Noël, or Yule log cake, to delicate Linzer cookies filled with sweet jam, we'll mix, bake, assemble and decorate our way through a collection of holiday favorites. Come ready to discover new flavors, learn baking techniques and celebrate the season with delicious creations inspired by holiday traditions around the world!</div><div><br></div><div>All COCC baking and culinary Youth Camps utilize real kitchen equipment and focus on hands-on learning while working both independently and collaboratively in small groups. Students are expected to be able to manage their own ingredients, equipment and workspace, and take responsibility for kitchen safety and cleanliness. The kitchen is not gluten or peanut-free. Please indicate known allergies in the checkout process when prompted. Ages 10-15.</div><div><br></div>\n\n<div>Please make sure your child(ren) are fed before camp begins. They are welcome to bring snacks from home. Students should bring 1-2 leftover containers each day to share what they prepared with your family and friends. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.</div><div><br></div><div>Please Note: We recognize that many individuals have specific dietary restrictions, aversions and/or requests. Due to the nature of our culinary classes, the menu is set and we are limited in our ability to make adjustments, and outside food cannot be brought in to meet special requirements. The kitchen is not gluten or peanut-free. Youth camps are for ages 10-15.
