Course Description: Drawing: Sketching Wildflowers of Oregon

Nature has already done the designing. We will simply learn how to draw it in Sketching Wildflowers of Oregon!

Designed for curious beginners and those who may have some drawing experience but want to learn about botanical structure, this class will help students understand the details that give each wildflower its distinct personality. All materials are provided, and students will leave the class with their own starter kit of sketching materials to continue to work with at home.

Carolyn Parker

Biography: Carolyn Parker is a dedicated art teacher who teaches adult and youth art classes with Community Education, as well as with degree-seeking students at COCC. A graduate of the University of Washington and a lifelong student of the Arts, Carolyn also attended school in New Zealand and obtained a Certificate in Digital Illustration from COCC. She is involved in the greater Central Oregon community and uses the beautiful backdrop of the High Desert for her professional and personal adventures in art and her other love: exercise. Carolyn is also an instructor of Yoga and Pilates!

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
