Course Description: Leadership Lab@COCC: *Teambuilding in Challenging Times

Strong teams don't happen by accident, they are built through trust, communication, and a shared commitment to success. In today's fast-changing workplace, effective teamwork is more important than ever. This interactive course explores the stages of team development and the characteristics of high-performing teams. Participants will learn practical strategies to build trust, create team synergy, understand the unique roles individuals play within a team, and strengthen collaboration during periods of change and uncertainty. Through discussion and real-world applications, you'll gain tools to help your team work together more effectively, adapt to challenges, and achieve shared goals. Take sessions separately, or sign up for the entire series at a discounted rate.

Michael Cieri

Biography: Mike Cieri has been in the Human Resource Management field for over 20 years. During this time he has held a variety of management positions, including several years on the executive management team of a large corporation as Vice President of Human Resources and Safety, as well as Vice President of Operations. His areas of expertise include legal compliance, workers' compensation, leadership development, performance management,coaching, training and development, compensation analysis, strategic planning, and developing best practices. Mike has a Masters degree in Industrial Relations & Human Resources from the University of Oregon. He has a coaching certificate from The Coaches Training Institute, San Rafael, California and a Practitioner's Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programmingfrom the NLP Institute of Oregon, as well as a certified DISC and MBTI trainer. Mike also is an adjunct professor at Oregon State University in the college of business and a contributing writer for Fleet Management Weekly.

Mike teaches COCC's Leadership Lab@COCC, offered twice annually and provides customized training and consulting for Central Oregon employers in both public and private sector settings.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
