Course Description: Destination Delicious: Global Baking Youth Camp

Grab your passports and hop on the plane to Destination Delicious! This baking camp is your ticket to learn about different cultures through the lens of baking. Each day focuses on a different region around the world, introducing students to a diverse array of ingredients, techniques and cultural traditions. From breads, to pastries, to sweet treats, students will recreate iconic recipes from around the globe. Students will learn essential techniques, build confidence in the kitchen and bring home their freshly made creations each day of camp.The kitchen is not gluten or peanut free. Please indicate known allergies in the checkout process when prompted. Ages 10-15.

Additional Course Information

Please make sure your child(ren) are fed before camp begins. They are welcome to bring snacks from home. Students should bring 1-2 leftover containers each day to share what they prepared with your family and friends. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.

Alyssa Dalgleish

Biography: Alyssa Dalgleish has over 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry, working in fine dining, wineries, caf�s, scratch kitchens and nightlife in both front- and back-of-house roles. For the past five years, she has taught advanced culinary courses at Bend Senior High School, guiding students in grades 9-12. Alyssa is passionate about sharing her industry knowledge and inspiring learners of all ages to build skills, confidence and creativity in the kitchen.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
