Course Description: Centering Lab: Leadership at the Potter's Wheel
The Centering Lab is a hands-on leadership series that uses the complete arc of pottery making as a living metaphor for how leaders grow. From the first moment of wedging raw clay at the wheel, to the patience of trimming and firing, to the artistry of glazing and the anticipation of the final reveal, each stage mirrors something real about the leadership journey: the effort to align before acting, the discipline of refining what isn't working and the courage to put your work into the fire and see what emerges. Over three 3-hour sessions at Sisters Clay Collective in Sisters, Oregon, participants don't just learn about leadership; they practice it with their hands in clay, carry the metaphors back to their teams and leave with a finished piece they made themselves and the leadership insights that go with it. All materials, including clay, provided. Please NOTE: This is a leadership class, not intended for general or production pottery students.
