Course Detail: W-IND-WLD-PWLD - Practical Welding

Practical Welding is a 2-week long course that is designed as an introduction for individuals who are new to welding, as well as for those seeking a shorter course to sharpen and improve their existing skills. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of SMAW (Stick Welding) and GMAW (MIG Welding) through hands-on instruction and practical application.

Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, participants will be:

  1. Comfortable around the set-up and breakdown of basic welding equipment.
  2. Able to demonstrate the ability to perform basic SMAW (Stick Welding) operations.
  3. Able to demonstrate the ability to perform basic GMAW (MIG Welding) operations.
  4. Equipped with the confidence to tackle small projects or repair jobs at home, the ranch, or your job.

There are no certifications attached to this welding course. This course is for Personal enrichment.

  • Hobbyists and new learners who may be interested in learning new skills.
  • Ranchers or homeowners who want to complete small projects such as DIYers.
