Essentials of Welding 3 is a 5 week-long course that focuses on GTAW (TIG Welding) and is designed for both beginners and experienced welders looking to expand their TIG welding skills. This course introduces and applies the fundamentals of TIG welding through hands-on instruction and practical application. Students will learn TIG welding techniques across a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. While completion of Essentials of Welding 1 and 2 is not required, prior welding experience is recommended before enrolling in this course.
Learning Outcomes -
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the ability to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) by performing welds across a variety of joint configurations, processes, and materials with improved accuracy and consistency.
- Apply appropriate material preparation techniques by identifying, selecting, and preparing a range of welding materials in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Analyze and troubleshoot welding operations by identifying common weld defects, evaluating their causes, and recommending effective corrective and preventive measures.
Certification -
There are no certifications attached to this welding course. This course is for Professional Development and Personal Enrichment.
Target Audience -
- Welding professionals with foundational Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) experience who seek structured guidance to develop proficiency and consistency in TIG welding techniques and applications.
- Practicing TIG welders experiencing a skills plateau who are motivated to refine advanced techniques, improve weld quality, and achieve greater technical mastery.
- Individuals pursuing career advancement or transition opportunities who wish to acquire TIG welding competencies to enhance employability, support job mobility, or qualify for higher-wage positions.
