Course Detail: W-IND-WLD-EW2 - Essentials of Welding - 2

Essentials of Welding 2 is a 5 week-long course designed for students who already possess a solid foundation in welding and are ready to further advance their skills and knowledge. This course focuses on advanced GMAW (MIG Welding) processes, including spray transfer, pulse welding, and dual-shield FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). Students will gain hands-on experience with these processes in both flat and vertical positions, learn specialized techniques for vertical welding applications, and complete multiple groove weld test plates. A prior background in welding or successful completion of Essentials of Welding 1 is required before enrolling in this course.
Learning Outcomes -
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped with:
- The ability to perform GMAW (MIG Welding) using several different weld processes and weld positions.
- The ability to perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) using several different weld processes and weld positions.
- A firm understanding of how weld positions and processes affect the strength and integrity of welds.
