Course Detail: AVIS-188 - JEWELRY AND METALS: SMALL SCALE CASTING

This hands-on studio course students explore the creative potential of cast metal jewelry and small object production. Lost wax casting is introduced as we address wax carving, pattern development, spruing, mold making, burn-out and casting. Learn vacuum casting and centrifugal casting, rubber mold techniques, bi-metal casting, stone-in-place casting and more. Students are challenged to unlock their creative voice as they craft treasures of adornment. No prior experience is required.

$245, plus $45 material fee for basic materials

Students may wish to purchase additional materials to create personal projects.
