JEWELRY AND METALS: SMALL SCALE CASTING
This hands-on studio course students explore the creative potential of cast metal jewelry and small object production. Lost wax casting is introduced as we address wax carving, pattern development, spruing, mold making, burn-out and casting.

JEWELRY DESIGN STUDIO
Buckles, brooches, and bracelets; this studio in metal work and jewelry design is aninvestigation of the expressive potential of jewelry through form, function, and exuberant surface and bi-metal patterning. Topics explore making strategies including tools, techniques, soldering, etching, electro deposited metal, and patination. Metalwork in combination with stone, resin, and alternative materials create a rich pallet through which students communicate ideas, emotions, and aesthetic goals.

MORNING: BOLOGNA SANDWICH CASTING
