Instructor: Jaret Gil

Jaret Gil
Biography: As a native artist of Michigan, attending CCS was always a dream of Jaret's. And while his undergrad took him to the west coast - where he spent 5 years in San Francisco attending the Academy of Art University - he found himself right back at that dream as a teacher. With strong roots in traditional art, Jaret pursued a degree in game development where he learned the ins and outs of digital art. While pursuing that degree, he also played soccer for the university, as well as coached on the side. And after he finished, soccer helped him realized his passion was in teaching. Now a graduate of CCS's Post Bachelor Art Education program, Jaret gets to follow that passion everyday. Jaret has been with the Pre-College program at CCS since 2023, and has many digital classes, specifically focused on some of the very skills he obtained while pursuing his BFA in game development. Mr. Fish (as his students call him) loves getting to share programs and skills with students that they otherwise may not get the opportunity to learn, and is forever grateful to the College for Creative Studies for giving him a place to do so.
