Course Detail: PCSE-112 - 2D HAND DRAWN ANIMATION


If you're obsessed with animated films and you're always daydreaming in full color, you've found your people. In this concentration, you'll learn to create your own animated shorts from ideation, storyboarding, character development to pencil sketches.


Develop and enhance your hand-drawing and digital drawing techniques and apply your skills using computer animation software. Learn how to develop animation through ideation, storyboarding and character development.


Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Apply the 12 Principles of Animation to your animation work.

2. Create dynamic animation layout, keys and rough animation.

3. Produce loose and confident drawing techniques that includes character design, animation keys, roughs and tie-down.

4. Create storytelling sequences using traditional animation techniques.

5. Create confident drawings featuring character design, expressions, layout and model sheets.


A $300 deposit is required to reserve a spot in PCSE programs. Once you select "Resident" or "Commuter" tuition, you will be able to make a "Minimum Payment" in your shopping cart. A minimum payment of $300 is required, however, additional amounts can be paid.
