Course Detail: AVIS-076 - FIBER ART: EMBROIDERY

Whether you've never picked up a needle or you're looking to refine your "thread painting" techniques, this course is designed to be your creative sanctuary. Over six progressive sessions, we move beyond basic patterns to help you find your unique artistic voice through the meditative art of hand embroidery.

Ages 16+

Supplies required for the course:

Approximately 1 yard of light-weight cotton fabric*, in white or a very light color/neutral. *Suitable fabrics include quilting cotton, muslin or old cotton bedsheets. (Newly purchased fabrics should be washed and dried before class.)
Pinking shears
Scissors
Embroidery threads in assorted colors
Large eye embroidery needles with sharp points (suitable for woven fabrics)
10" embroidery hoop
Pencils and erasers
