Course Detail: ADRW-085 - FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP: DRAWING AND SHADING

Learn how to draw more images with more depth and drama by using light and shadow techniques. Students will work from 2D reference images.

Free workshop offered live over zoom.

High school teens ages 14-18 and K-12 teachers.

A zoom link will be sent to registered participants one week before the workshop.

1.5 SCECHs pending approval.

You will need the following supplies to participate:

Reference images
Drawing paper or copy paper
A variety of drawing pencils (HB, 2B, etc.) or charcoal pencils

Biography:

NATE SWEITZER is a Chicago-born Illustrator who graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. His work illustrates human stories through conceptual solutions and textural mark-making. He specializes in publishing, editorial, and poster illustration. His work has been awarded and featured by 3x3 Magazine, the American Illustration Awards, the Society of Illustrators, Illustration West, and the One Club for Creativity. His clients include the L.A. Times, Rolling Stone, NPR, ProPublica, Sports Illustrated Kids, The New Republic, and Forbes.
